WHAT YOU REALLY NEED FOR BABY

There are so many baby products on the market these days that it can get confusing. Here are our list of favorite baby products and why.

For The Nursery:

  • HALO Bassinet
    • I loved this for the those middle of the night feeds. The swivel made it easy to pick up baby and get in and out of bed. The bassinet has a night light it that was nice to have.
  • Crib that we used in our nursery
    • reasonably priced and has worked great for us
  • Newton Baby Crib Mattress
    • We love this crib mattress. It is super soft, and I have peace of mind with how it is breathable.
  • Portable noise maker
    • This portable noise maker is a must. Clip on the stroller or infant carrier and baby will sleep anywhere.
  • Noise maker
    • This under $50 noise maker is what we use every single night and during every nap time. This one has worked great.
  • Little Giraffe Baby Blanket
    • The softest baby blanket ever.
  • RH nursery changing table
    • We have this dresser changing table. It is the perfect height. The dresser has great storage space.
  • RH BABY Changing Pad
  • Changing pad covers
    • key tip: get two to change out when gets dirty
  • Ollie Velcro Swaddle
    • The velcro swaddles are fabulous. Baby stays good and cozy all night long. A few weeks in, Charlie was able to break out of traditional swaddles. He would wake himself up. These velcro swaddles decreased the middle of the night wakings.
  • Kyte footies The kyte footies are some of our favorites for baby.

FOR FEEDING:

  • Kiindle twist Pump storage kit
    • I was not huge on pumping, but when I did this is the storage/feeding system I used.
  • Dr Brown’s bottle
    • We use these bottles. Charlie has always done well switching between taking these bottles and breasts.
  • BABY Breeza
    • We have always supplemented some with formula since the beginning. If using any amount of formula at all this is a huge must. It makes bottles making bottles so easy.
  • Bobbie Formula
    • Organic Formula. I did lots of research and felt great about this decision for our baby boy.
  • Baby spoons
    • The spoons that we use for Charlie.
  • Muslin Burp Cloths
  • things we didn’t use for feedings:
    • bottle sterilizer
      • you can sterilize the bottles by boiling water and then clean in the dishwasher
    • portable bottle warmer
      • I would just heat up a bottle in a cup of warm water. I found this to be easier.

BATH AND BEDTIME:

Miscellaneous:

  • moms on call book
    • I can highly recommend this book and schedule. We didn’t follow it all the way, but it really worked for us. I feel like Charlie sleeps great, eats great, and is overall a happier baby due to moms on call.
  • UPPAbaby Vista V2 stroller and car seat
    • An investment, but so worth it. We love this stroller and carseat.
